Mark & Gina and Egyptian boys at the Great Pyramid

From our earliest preparations for mission service, God has challenged us with the Unreached World - the ethnic people groups around the globe that do not yet have a viable witness of His Kingdom. Everything we do is aimed at changing that situation. (You can read about our journey here.) We are now in the third major season of our mission career.

In Matthew 22, Jesus tells the story of the King who was putting on a wedding feast, but those who were first called to attend were unwilling to come. In a second call, the invitees paid no attention and went about their business – some even mistreated and killed the King’s messengers who had gone out to invite them in.

Issuing a third call the King said that "the wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. Go therefore to the main highways, and as many as you find there, invite to the wedding feast." The workers went out into the streets and gathered together all they found, both evil and good, and the wedding hall was filled with dinner guests.

While reading this passage, I was thinking of all the people, particularly among the yet unreached, who have been unresponsive to the invitation of our King. I thought of some fellow messengers who were abused and martyred.

I felt the Lord/King ask me, "Gina, what is the main highway?" and I replied, "The Internet Highway". He responded, "Yes! Go to the Internet Highway and compel them to come in!"

We have been exploring a new strategy to reach the difficult unreached peoples by creating evangelistic websites in their languages and cultural styles. Through the Internet we can cross over dangerous borders and reach far more people in far less time! In 2014, we had a major breakthrough which we believe jumps us forward several years.

We met a small group of people within Wycliffe Bible Translators concerned with making scripture available via indigenous Internet websites. They have already been investing in the equipment and processes to do this. Because of our similar visions, we instantly connected. Mark trained with them and, though workshops, is beginning to train indigenous workers to develop their own evangelistic websites. Instead of laboring alone to set a few sites up for a few unreached people groups, we will now be able to multiply our efforts into a multitude of websites! Mark will travel globally to hold 2-week workshops, each producing a minimum of eight evangelistic websites.

Our strategy is to utilize the Internet Highway to reach the remaining Unreached Peoples. We create websites in the languages and cultural styles of the people, then use those sites to present evangelistic resources (like the "Jesus" film, audio messages, and Scripture portions) that will draw people to Jesus. The website below, for a people group in Nepal, is similar to those that we are helping to develop.
